In this workshop we will take some well-known chords and learn how to play them across different places on the fretboard!

All things Riffs! with Sarah Farren

Workshop Level: 2 (Post Beginner)
In this Workshop I will guide you how to break down riffs and build them back up again.
Together we will learn a riff from a song following this process, making learning riffs and Melodies less scary.

Hi, I’m Frances ……… official ukulele addict and JHUI Certified Ukulele Teacher. In this workshop you will learn basic ukulele skills in a friendly relaxed atmosphere, no pressure. Learn at your own pace.
There will also be handouts for you to take home to study at your leisure.
Why not give it a go, it’s fun and you will be surprised at how quickly you can produce a tune.

Song Writing with Sandy Stewart
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Come along for an introduction into writing your own songs.
No formal music theory knowledge is required for the workshop, but it will be beneficial if you know most of the chords and have an idea of which ones go together. Don’t worry, there will be no complex chords used.
Topics covered will include; Themes, Lyrics, Song Structure, Melody, and much more.
